About The Lewis Foundation

The Lewis Foundation was created after a personal experience with cancer revealed how isolating and emotionally difficult treatment can be. Founded by Lorraine and Lee Lewis, the charity exists to bring comfort, kindness and dignity to adults diagnosed with cancer in the hospital. Through gift packs, hospital visits and community support, we aim to ensure that no patient facing cancer feels forgotten or alone.

Bringing comfort to adults facing cancer

Cancer treatment can be frightening, exhausting and deeply isolating. Long days in hospital and time away from everyday life can leave patients feeling alone during one of the most challenging moments they will ever experience.

The Lewis Foundation exists to bring compassion and human connection to those moments. Through thoughtfully prepared gift packs and the support of volunteers, we help patients feel encouraged, valued and supported during their time in hospital.

It started with one simple idea

The Lewis Foundation began after Lorraine and Lee Lewis witnessed first hand the emotional impact cancer treatment can have on patients and their families.

While doctors and nurses focus on vital medical care, Lorraine recognised that many patients simply need small moments of kindness to help them through difficult days.

What started as a simple idea to deliver thoughtful gift packs to hospital wards has grown into a charity supporting thousands of adults receiving cancer treatment.

Help us bring comfort to someone facing cancer

Every gift pack delivered by The Lewis Foundation is made possible through the generosity of our supporters. Just £3.60 helps provide a gift pack that can brighten a patient’s hospital stay and remind them they are not alone during their cancer treatment. Your support allows us to continue delivering kindness, encouragement and comfort to adults facing cancer in hospital.
Every £3.60 delivers hope
Each gift pack costs just £3.60 to deliver - bringing comfort and a reminder that someone cares to cancer patients and their families across Northamptonshire.
